or to remove 'hitchhiker' fleas that occur when on such products
Active
Ingredient: nitenpyram
Provides
fast relief from fleas
Research
indicates that Capstar is 95-100% effective 24 hours after a single dose. It
starts working within 30 minutes and 95-100% of fleas are dead within 7 hours.
The
active ingredient, Nitenpyram, interferes with normal nerve to nerve
transmission in the flea leading constant stimulation of the nerve causing
paralysis of the flea.
Safety:

be used at the recommended dose in pups & kittens from 4 weeks of age

be used in pregnant and lactating animals

compatible with other drugs eg heartworm, wormers, flea development
inhibitors such as Program & Sentinel

margin of safety: In trials, dogs were given 60 times the required dose
daily for 52 weeks without any adverse side effects
