Heartgard
PLUS or Dogs

Ingredients: ivermectin & pyrantel
Heartgard PLUS is
monthly meaty treat for the prevention of heartworm and the control of hookworm
and round worm in dogs. Similar to Heartgard but with the added benefit of
intestinal worm control.
Ivermectin is
also the
active ingredient in the Heartgard. It will kill heartworm larvae soon after they
are injected into your dog by a mosquito. If left un treated the heartworm
larvae will migrate to the heart and lungs and become a harmful adult heartworm
in approximately 6 months.
Pyrantel provides
control of roundworms and hookworms, the most significant intestinal parasites
of dogs.
Heartgard PLUS should be given
to your dog on a monthly basis. It is presented as a six monthly supply and the
packet contains stickers for your calendar to help you remember. It should be
given to puppies from 6 weeks of age then every month for the rest of their
life.
